Wayne Redekop

Chair - Science & Stewardship and Strategic Planning Committees
Wayne was educated at Brown University, University of Western Ontario (B.A.) and Osgoode Hall Law School (LL.B.). He is a partner in the law firm Jones, Jamieson and Redekop and is a practising trial lawyer since 1977. Wayne was the Mayor of the Town of Fort Erie, 1997-2006. He is a member of numerous professional and community organizations over the years, including currently member of the Ridgeway Lions Club, the Bowen Road Women's Institute, Board of Trustees of D'Youville College and Patron of Friends of Fort Erie's Creeks. Wayne is knowledgeable about municipal planning, border, transportation, health and environmental issues. Wayne is married to Cathy Green-Redekop and father of 3 marvellous daughters.

 

Paul Robertson

Vice Chair - Fundraising and Finance, Nominations & Members, Project Review, Science & Stewardship Committees
Paul Robertson is Senior Forester and Principal Consultant for Trees Unlimited Forestry Consultants, which promotes establishing and maintaining sustainable forest ecosystems. Paul has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management and an Honours diploma from Galt Collegiate Institute. Mr. Robertson is active with the Ontario Woodlot Association and acted as a founding director for the Niagara Woodlot Association and the Niagara Land trust. Paul is a rural landowner and a provincially registered farmer, that can provide insight on the ownership and management of private lands and a direct contact with more than 4 000 rural private land owners in the Niagara Peninsula.

 

Tim Seburn

Secretary - Nominations & Membership, Strategic Planning, Fundraising & Marketing Committees
Tim Seburn is a life-long resident who offers years of management experience and a strong commitment to the Niagara Land Trust, which he believes is an important, new alternative for the people of Niagara to protect the natural heritage they hold dear.

 

Lisa Campbell

Treasurer - Fundraising & Marketing, Strategic Planning Committees
Ms. Campbell is an Aquatic Ecologist and Principal of LCA Environmental Consultants, which specializes in the monitoring and interpretation of aquatic and terrestrial environments, particularly those impacted by anthropogenic activity. Ms. Campbell has a Master of Science degree in Aquatic Ecology and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Chemistry. She is also full-time faculty at The Centre for Environmental Training at Niagara College where she provides instruction to undergraduate and post-graduate students in areas of Environmental Sampling and Analysis, Aquatic Monitoring Techniques and River Corridor Restoration. Ms. Campbell is registered as a Wetland Evaluator with the Ministry of Natural Resources and is certified as an Ontario Benthic Biomonitoring Network (OBBN) Technical Instructor. Ms. Campbell is also a Canadian Certified Environmental Practitioner in the fields of Water Quality Protection, Land Quality Protection, Fisheries and Wildlife Management and Environmental Education. Ms. Campbell has been an appointed member of the Environmental and Ecological Advisory Committee to the Region of Niagara for the last nine years and will continue the current term until 2010.

 

Joyce Sankey

Director - Science & Stewardship and Strategic Planning Committees
Joyce Sankey has been interested in natural history for many years. She is a member of the executive of the Niagara Falls Nature Club, where she has served as president and secretary. She is currently chair of the Land Issues Committee, where her focus is on saving habitat, and also serves on the program committee. Joyce is a member of the Peninsula Field Naturalists and the Bert Miller Nature Club. For the past three years, she has volunteered on the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority's Natural Areas Inventory. She is happy to serve on the Niagara Land Trust to help conserve more of Niagara's natural lands.

 

Jim Smith

Director - Project Review and Science & Stewardship Committees
Jim is a 4th generation resident of Pelham. Jim has worked with Altas Steels as a Metallurgist and with John Deere as a Materials Engineer. Jim has owned and operated "Smiths' Christmas Tree Farm" in St. Johns since 1962. He is a member of the Niagara Woodlot Association and at times served as Director. Jim was a volunteer at the St. Johns Fire Department for 28 years at times serving as President and as Secretary. He is currently Membership Chairman for the organization "Friends of Short Hills Provincial Park". Jim has a long time love and appreciation of nature and working landscapes.

 

Joe Tomaino

Director - Project Review
As Development Manager with Walker Environmental Group, Joe brings a strong appreciation and understanding of the importance of preserving natural features of the environment and operating efficiently therefore reducing our impact. Joe is a Registered Professional Planner having worked in the Niagara Region for 20 years. Joe' brings a strong background in land use planning matters and property acquisitions to the Niagara Land Trust.

Natalie Kiers

Executive Director
Natalie was raised in St. Catharines. She has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Graduate certificate in Ecosystem Restoration. Natalie has just joined the Niagara Land Trust Foundation Team and will be helping and assisting in all aspects of the organization. In the past, Natalie has volunteered with the Niagara Restoration Council, Niagara Ecosystem Corps and the Green Party of Ontario. Currently, Natalie is a Young Conservation Professional (YCP) Participant which is providing hands on learning in leadership training and professional development.
